Washrooms in Mexico can still sometimes be an adventure. The washrooms at Joe's Oyster Bar are reasonable for Mexico. The "golden" rule in Mexico for using toilets is that IF THERE IS A WASTE BASKET NEXT TO THE TOILET, THEN PUT THE TOILET PAPER INTO THE WASTE BASKET. The sewer systems in Mexico are not that good and get clogged up with toilet paper. You don't want to be stuck with a clogged toilet!
Joe's Oyster Bar is no exception...you will need to put your toilet paper in the waste basket! Joe's is almost a sea-level so the drainage isn't great! In Mexico, when there is a washroom attendant, it is customary to tip them a small amount when you leave.
Main Women's Washroom at Joe's Oyster Bar
There are 2 womens washrooms at Joe's Oyster Bar. The main one is located next to the telephones on your way in from the main parking lot entrance. The 2nd womens washroom is located at the back of the volleyball court. At night, there are washroom attendants that keep the washrooms clean. Additionally, they have some candies, breath mints, and personal hygiene supplies for sale. At night on weekends, unfortunately, there may be line ups to use the washrooms.

Men's Washroom at Joe's Oyster Bar
There is only 1 mens washrooms at Joe's Oyster Bar. It is located in the centre of the bar under the main bar area. Take the stairs down from the main intersection of all the walkways in the centre of the bar. At night, Enrique (Henry) is the washroom attendant. He keeps the washroom clean. Additionally, he has some candies, breath mints, and personal hygiene supplies for sale. Tip him well! Prior to Enrique, Robero was the washroom attendant. A few years ago, they remodelled the washroom. It is a lot better now with metal dividers between the urinals. However, the toilet stalls are pretty short so taller guys may have a problem! Always wear your sandals or shoes when going to the washroom! No matter how much Enrique tries to keep the floor clean, it is hard!
