What beers are served at Joe's Oyster Bar?
Joe's Oyster Bar serves Pacifico, Pacifico Light, Dos Equis, Tecate, and Tecate light. Pacifico is the main beer sold at Joe's Oyster Bar because it is actually brewed in Mazatlán! Pacifico recently began brewing and selling Pacifico Light. It is very popular now at Joe's Oyster Bar! Joe's Oyster Bar will normally serve you your beer in a bucket full of ice!
Note: Bottles are not allowed on the streets or beach outside of Joe's Oyster Bar. When you leave Joe's Oyster Bar, empty any beer you have into a plastic cup. You don't want to be ticketed or arrested by the police!
Is it 2x1 (two for one) at Joe's Oyster Bar?
It is almost always 2x1 (two for one) beers at Joe's Oyster Bar. The only exception is Easter Week (Semana Santa) when it isn't 2x1. The price for 1 (i.e. 2 beers) is currently 55 pesos (about US$2.25 or a little over US$1 per beer!). During Easter the price for 1 (only 1) beer is 25 pesos.
What is a tequila popper?
Tequila poppers are a popular drink with foreign tourists. A tequila popper is a tequila shot mixed with 7-Up. The waiter will slam the glass on the table causing the drink to bubble. Then you drink it as fast as you can. Then the waiter will shake your head! This will give you a great buzz!
